Starting Out In Parkour
Great tips from Urban Freeflow; a massive online Parkour community set-up as a great resource for practitioners to discuss and learn from one another.
In this article author Piece Rockwell sets out some of the more important subjects to focus on when starting to learn parkour. Among a lot of new techniques or movements it is always hard to know how to approach them most efficiently; i.e. Safely, with few injuries. It also covers lack of motivation due to impatience or injury, which in my own experience I have found is the most common cause of people quitting Parkour before they have even begun unlocking their full potential. Learning from those around us is incredibly important and in this case may lead to many a shortcut for beginners to not have to experience as much of the "Error" in "Trial and Error".
